“A Coach is someone who has you see what you don’t want to see, and do what you don’t want to do so you can be someone you’ve always known yourself to be”

ACTORS EXPERIENCE OF THE CBU ATI JAN 2011
So, I cannot say how fortunate I feel to have taken part in your intensive. At least not fully. It can only be actualized in how I move forward from here. But to attempt it, (the articulation, not the moving forward), it was magnificent. The dedication and preparation involved were absolutely apparent: from the morning/afternoon session casting directors having individualized scenes prepared for us, to the unique and engaging participants on the panel sessions in the evening. Your conscientious approach to our particular learning and benefit was clear throughout, as well as the professionalism of the people you corralled to come and work with us. They were always prepared, entirely open and engaging with us, so much so that I believe we all could not help but benefit from the experience. Your true and genuine dedication to us and our wants/needs was evident at all points during the intensive. I firmly feel that each of us in the intensive grew and gained from the experience.
As for the people with me in the intensive, they echo the above statements. Everyone was caring, talented, approachable and fully engaged in learning from you and your "staff" of wonderful individuals. We all benefited greatly and grew together in a way that I dont feel we would have been able to had we not taken your intensive.
For me personally: I cannot even imagine a better use of my time, money or energy than participating in your intensive. I learned so much, working in the sessions and with my fellow classmates, about who I was, how I worked with others, where my talents lie, (and more). I knew coming in that I didnt know the "Business", but now, that is not a scary thought. Now I feel I can approach it with confidence and a good bit of clarity, which only helps me in both my success and my growth. I think the thing I will take away most from this experience, now having a day to process, is that I have to come into the room as myself, as, I am unique and what I bring to a character is what makes me valuable. And so I thank you.
I have contacted my two "starfish" about the program. I only spoke to one of them, but he seems highly interested. I may have a third, but he wants to sit down and pick my brain before he does anything else. I would have more for you, but I just got back into acting recently and my list of "acting" friends is small, at this point.
Again, I thank you for this weekend. It was amazing. I think you are a wonderful coach, teacher and I can only assume(by your clients' praises) manager. I hope our relationship goes beyond this intensive and that we are in touch for many years to come.

Thank you so much. It was wonderful to finally meet you. You are so great. You have such an amazing spirit and it was just so nice to talk to you about the business. I learned a ton in the hour that we talked. I will be in touch about the Intensive class/coaching. Thank you for a wonderful opportunity. Have a great holiday weekend. I look forward to talking with you soon.
I hope you and Padraic are having a wonderful summer. The intensive was singally one of the best experiences of my adult life and I will refer as many people to it as I can. I talk about it often. It was such an amazing experience and I walked away from it with more confidence than I had ever had. Seriously, it changed me forever.
Thank you for allowing me to participate and I wish you continued success.

From Drew
Having gone through 4 years of great conservatory training I noticed that there were a few things missing from my skill set. College had helped me prepare my monologues, find the spines of my scenes, and work with emotional truth....but it didn't prepare me to get out into the real world and start booking jobs.
I can't tell you how lucky I was to have found Susan right after graduation! Her Intensive is the best class a working actor could have. It seems so self-defeating to try to become an actor with well-honed technical skills, but without any understanding of the business of the career field you are entering. They say about 80% of those who come out of college with drama degrees will leave the field within 3 years, and I sincerely feel that working with Susan gave me the knowledge and the business skills to make sure I was in the other 20%.
Not only does Susan prepare actors for a fulfilling career, she nurtures and guides them through the ups and downs of the field. She cares about her clients more than any manager I've ever known, and has been an absolute gift for me! She has helped me to understand when I'm holding myself back and has pushed me to make my own personal breakthroughs -- in fact, my breakthrough last week was getting my Equity card!!! Thank you, Susan, for all your words of wisdom and kindness, and for making sure my career is always moving onward and upward!!!!

"Susan has taught me valuable skills through coaching, both about the business of acting and life here in The Big Apple. I have grown as a person and as an actor. She has provided me with wonderful opportunities to work with giants in the industry one on one and receive their feedback. Most importantly, she helped me get a great agent who is well-known and wonderful to work with. have learned to be more disciplined and organized in my career and how to treat it as an operating business. I have learned how to set personal goals so that I can see my productivity and therefore always feel like I am moving forward. It is empowering to take control of my own career. I have learned to focus on the positives vs. negatives of each week. I have learned not to take things personally. I’ve learned how to avoid negative or nervous energy from others at auditions. I have learned how to network, and the proper ways to communicate with casting directors and agents. I was brought in by Jamibeth Margolis for “Warsaw the Musical.” I was called in for Glinda u/s for the first national tour of “Wicked” by Telsey & Co. (my dream role!). I was seen by Barry and Naomi, and now work exclusively with Naomi Kolstein of KTA! Susan has encouraged me and always believed in me! Thank you so much, Susan, for all of your guidance as I begin my journey here in NYC!" McClain Kitchens, NY

OCT ATI 2009
First and foremost, I thank God for introducing me to Susan. Then, I thank Susan for allowing God to use her as a vessel for actors to take part in the intensive. Susan you're a GEM. You have inspired and motivated me in so many enlightening ways. You're absolutley one of the most positive, loving, caring and professional people I know. The intensive has enabled me to become a self-starter in taking control of my acting career. Before the intensive I thought I was a professional actress. But... I wasn't professional. I was only professional in my mind. The intensive has shown me how to be a PREPARED actress. It has given me the tools and equipment to successfully go out into the acting industry with confidence, truth and integrity. I must say this to all actors... You will not regret taking the intensive. The Actors Tranformational Intensive is THE BEST business and spiritual move I've ever made for my acting career. I took the intensive on October 16th, 17th and 18th of 2009, and it has opened doors for me in so many ways. I humbly encourage all actors to take the intensive. This enlightening experience has enabled me to spend 3 beautiful days meeting and bonding with wonderful and aspiring industry people and actors. The industry people were truthful, warm and informative. They all love actors. They were on our side. The industry people were so supportive and uplifting. This intensive is like no place I've ever been to. My experience with the intensive is about growth, love, inspiration, empowerment, learning and preparedness. I wish for every actor to take part in the intensive. Already, my acting career has expanded and has gone to the next level. Because of the intensive, now I can humbly say that I am a professional actress. Thank you Susan!!! I love you Marlisa Johnson, NY Actor
My intensive helped me grow so much as an actor. I came into this intensive having a plan and having experience under my belt. I really didnt know what to expect when i signed up for this intensive. I soon learned that i didnt know as much as i thought i did. I left the intensive feeling complete. I felt that i could go out into this hard acting world and show my stuff with ease and comfort. I never had this much support and this much encouragement, other than the love and support of my mother, as i did in this intensive. What this intensive gave me was a sense of self-expression and passion for this business all over again. I could never have asked for more. Susan and Padriac are two of the most passionate and generous people i have ever met. They really want you to succeed and move forward not only with your career but with your life. I took from this intensive connections and friendship that will last forever. Thank you so much for this opportunity and thank you for your love and support. I will always be grateful and forever respect you both.
Thank you,
Calvin McCullough, Actor
Susan's Intensive wasn't just a transforming experience as an actor, it helped me see deeper into my own self as a person. To be a successful actor you have to know who you are as a human being and what kind of person you are. I like to think that this intensive was a huge step in the direction for me. Not only was this transformational but the people I met and friends I made were invaluable. I am confident in my ability and always feel sure of myself when in front of an audience or camera. Thank you Susan, I wouldn't be half the actor I am now without you and this program!
Barrett W., NY Actor
"As an actor, one MUST be honest with themselves. The actor's intensive, forces an actor to realize what they personally must embrace in order to move forward in their career.
I am so excited about my personal plan that incorporates both using my strengths and tackles the roadblocks I place on myself. It is so exciting to share your work and be coached
by the top industry professionals. What else is great about this weekend? Every person involved has eachother's best interest in mind. It's a beautiful
environment." Erin, NY Actor
Actors Transformational Intensive Oct 2009
Susan’s Actors Transformational Intensive is a once in a
lifetime experience.Seriously.I was hesitant at first, but with Susan’s
quiet unassuming exuberance and the sheer joy she brings into her work I was
quickly swept up into the most magical thirty-six hours of my life so far.The business professionals she brings in are
honest and forthright, and in all sincerity I wouldn’t want it any other
way.The Actors Intensive gives a young
actor insight into the business aspect of show business, and it’s minute inner
workings thereof that very few actors get at any point in their careers.I’m not one for testimonials, but I can say
the Intensive truly changed the way I look at my career, at my friendships,
relationships, and especially myself.I feel transformed. If you have the means and the wherewithal: do
it.

There are a lot of "businesses" that pose as helpful institutions in the business of acting. There are a lot of people out there looking for an edge. Susan and Padraic are the real deal and they provide that edge. The CBU intensive gave me wonderful instruction on how to be prepared for my work and my auditions. To take control of my situation and move forward. How to take personal inventory and do the best with what I have. CBU doesn't just throw you a fish... they teach you how.
Cheers. Brilliant. Love your work. Danny Siegel
