'GIRLS GUIDE TO DEPRAVITY" A CINEMAX PRODUCTION (AN EPISODIC TO BE RELEASED IN THE FALL ON CINEMAX) STARRING WHITNEY KIMBALL LONG AS SIENNA.
WHITNEY has been with Susan for a year a half and won this role three months after her callback in January of 2011.
One of the things Susan does with her clients is constant follow
up. Follow up is the key to success and which Susan is a Master of. So,
the day that Susan got the call from Adrienne Stern the Casting
Director for this project, Susan was in action. It involved Whitney
having to
leave for Romania
in a 24 hour time frame. So, making sure Whitney has her passport and
was cleared with her work, and any possible other commitments were taken care of. Done, Done, and Done!
Also,
inside this contract called for a specific rider, which originally were
unacceptable to both Susan and Whitney. So,, Susan went to bat for
Whitney and re-wrote
a section of the rider (with her previous agency experience under her
belt) and the producers called her from the set in Romania to confer
with her about it. After checking it with their legal department,
they accepted Susan's rider which totally took care of Whitney in the
shoot and upon which, Susan accepted the contract, did the paperwork
for the contract, got it to Whitney, signed, sealed and delivered to
Cinemax in Romania, and Whitney was on her way the next day !
Whitney
enjoyed two weeks plus a few days there and worked on her role of
"Sienna" in the episodes of the show. She also got to enjoy Transylvania and the surrounding
areas as well. All in all, working and enjoying life! Something to which Susan totally is aligned with.
So, congratulations Whitney, and we'll look for you on Cinemax's GIRLS GUIDE TO DEPRAVITY ! This is Whitney's first television appearance and hope that there will be
many other opportunities for her.
Premiere of a new musical about a war widow’s attempt to cope with her Marine husband’s death in Iraq. Gregg Coffin (Convenience, Five Course Love)
takes the widow and her husband’s brother (also a Marine) on a quest to
scatter her husband’s ashes where he requested, setting off flashbacks
of their life and love and leading to an emotionally uplifting
transformation.
Maria Couch, Jim Poulos, Jamie Cordes and Dana Mierlak will star in the new Gregg Coffin musical right next to me,
about a young military widow attempting to cope with the loss of her
husband, which will begin May 26 at the Human Race Theatre in Ohio. thank you Susan for getting me my Equity card!
DANA MIERLAK (Trish Holmes) Dana, a native New Yorker, is honored to perform in right next to me. Dana recently co-wrote, produced and performed a two-person show, As We Stumble Along. Credits include: Crissy/understudy Connecticut Critics Circle award-winning production of Hair, Side By Side By Sondheim, Miranda in The Tempest, Katie in Swingtime Canteen.
Dana can be heard on Sondheim Solos and other Stage Stars recordings.
She is grateful to family and friends for their endless support. Special
thanks to her manager, CBU MGMT - Susan Campochiaro Confrey. At the conclusion of
this production, Dana will be a member of Actors' Equity!
Touring version of 'Chorus Line'
stays true to the original
The ensemble numbers, and especially the
stunning finale, are exceptional in both sound and movement. Perhaps one of the
most telling points about the overall quality of this production can be found
in the delivery of the show's big hit, One. In most any stage
chorus, the lyrics tend to be rendered a bit mushy by the number of voices
involved. But when this entire cast blasts into that closing number, you can
hear the clear enunciation of every single syllable.
About the only real criticism is that a couple
of cast members do not exactly measure up to their roles (those familiar with
the show will know what that means). But most of the players are so
accomplished that the only disappointment is that we don't hear more from them
-- like Paul
Flanagan, who plays the minor role of Al but who may
have the best voice in the cast.

Playhouse on Park
Playhouse on Park's production is
solidly Sondheim
September
17th, 2010 3:03 pm ET
There
are no signs of growing pains at West Hartford's Playhouse on
Park which just opened its second main stage theatrical season with
a pleasant production of "Side by Side by Sondheim," a revue of the
legendary Broadway composer Stephen Sondheim's early works.
So
many of Sondheim's songs have become familiar to audiences who follow theater
and cabaret that each can now safely stand alone and be fully understood and
appreciated by the audience. That's evident right up front as diminutive Dana
Mierlak, a graduate of the Hartt School of Music in Hartford, nicely
captures the ironies of marital camaraderie in "The Little Things You Do
Together," and a short time later the heartbreaking frustration of
unfulfilled love in "Losing My Mind." Catherine Rogala catches
the audience off guard as she jumps headlong into the fast-paced lyrics of
"Getting Married Today," conveying hilariously all the fear, panic
and second, third and fourth thoughts that a prospective bride could feel, only
to later tease the audience with her suggestive, flirty reminiscence of an
early suitor in "Can That Boy Foxtrot."

Elaine Stritch and
Carol Burnett have sung it. Eartha Kitt and Ann Miller did, too.
Dozens upon dozens of
other female performers, as well, have planted their feet center stage and
crooned Stephen Sondheim’s “I’m Still Here,” the story of a seen-it-all show
business survivor.
Now someone far less
famous, one Lynn Hart, is doing it in “Side by Side by Sondheim” at the Women’s
Theater Company in Parsippany.
What an astonishing
surprise to find that her rendition can stand with the best of them.
Hart is a diminutive
but ferocious performer who brings much life experience to the song. She
doesn’t simply attack a lyric; she launches an assault on each word. By the
time Hart reaches the line “Three cheers and, dammit, c’est la vie,” the
audience knows that three cheers won’t be nearly enough for the miracle they’ve
just heard.
“West
Side Story,” Sondheim’s first produced musical, is well-served. Kathleen Clancy provides the
requisite anger in “A Boy Like That” before Andrea Quinn offers her beautiful
soprano in “I Have a Love.” However, Clancy’s best moment comes during “Getting
Married Today,” in which a bride-to-be has second thoughts just before she
leaves for the church. It’s a lickety-split fast lyric, and Clancy articulates
each syllable in extraordinary fashion.

The highlight of the performances of Kathleen Clancy and the operatic Andrea Quinn is their dramatically intense and beautifully sung duet "A Boy Like That"/"I Have a Love" (West Side Story, music by Leonard Bernstein). - Bob Rendell, Talkin' Broadway

From classic elegance to contemporary “fedora” casual, Frank Sinatra is the
ultimate icon of cool. My Way: A Tribute to Frank Sinatra celebrates the
pivotal moments of Sinatra’s life which solidified his legendary
status. This musical revue
recalls the essence of the man through the glorious music he sang,
beginning in the 1940s as a big band crooner, continuing on to the
bright lights of Las Vegas with the Rat Pack in the 1960s, and to his final
performances in the 1990s as “The Chairman of the Board.” The Arizona

the man and wildly entertaining for his fans, or anyone else who loves good music.” Come hear

by Adrienne Cea Jack & the Beanstalk reviewed April 9 Honeywell, who plays multiple silly roles in this production, steals scenes adorably in every one. As Guernsey, she is a sassy tap-dancing cow dressed in a black-and-white spotted suit, and as the Goose who lays golden eggs, she looks childishly endearing in a puffy white dress with orange slippers. But as a melodious golden harp, she is seductive and enchanting, especially to the Giant (Ian Sweeney), who gazes fondly upon her in his castle made of clouds.
